It was my very first time attending schooling in a private school. I was a freshman college Nursing student that time when I met my most loved professor. She is a middle age woman from a reputable school in the Philippines. I can still vividly remember the first day in her class. Probably, she inspired me to be a teacher too.

There are multiple reasons why I really love this teacher. Let me start citing some of her qualities as a mentor and as a person, too. To start with, she is a witty and humorous, one of a kind, creative educator I have met from the time I started my education. She is a woman full of knowledge and experience because the way she talks simply shows, she knows her craft. For example, when she is presenting the lesson in front of the class, using real stuffs like a femur bone. How would you feel seeing the biggest bone in the human body, for real? That is why I fell in-love with Anatomy and Physiology. To highlight her educational background, she did her masters abroad. No wonder her way of teaching is closest to reality as much as she can do it in the class. She does not talk bookish, but merely layman’s term to help us get connected.

Moreover, she is an ultimate artsy person. Would you believe she is taking time dressing up like a lioness or something like a woman from the 17th century. Like it wow me all the time! It triggers our excitement coming and performing regularly due to the over stimulated visuals we always see on the way she dresses up.

Lastly, she is an educator by heart. All the things we learned from her were never wasted. Like using human bones, blood work samples and a slice of muscles. Charge to experience as they say. The memories etched on my brain cells is a treasure that I can pass on to the next generation especially now that I am a teacher, too.
