The Tagalog “ba” is one the most used word in Tagalog in the Philippines. Two letters only but it hard to explain what it means. It can be used in asking a question to enhance or stress out the question being asked. which means, you are confirming to something.

The question word ba has no specific meaning and cannot be translated in English except that is a serves as spoken question mark indicate clearly that the speaker is asking a question.
Rule:
To make a statement in the subject-predicate word into a question, place “ba” immediately after the subject and just before the word “ay”.
