A Letter to My First Born

product images (5)

Do you wonder why mommas are super humans? I guess by now, probably yes. The high and dry of a first time mother still lingering from the day I gave birth to you. I was once overwhelmed with grace of holding you in my arms.

You are fearfully and wonderfully made. I have come to meet you in my heart long before even the Creator sent you. The unfathomable bond peacefully flows in my soul, giving a never ending forgiveness to my shortcomings, sustaining reasons to feel love and be loved. Your presence makes a soothing sound to my bones. It fills and heals me. Your cries are reminder to push harder, harder that it can literally breaks me to death. A bittersweet melon, indeed!

Your life is a gift. I wonder to stay long until your silver hair is visible. I wonder the thoughts of life without you. But for now, I boldly embrace my golden time with you. We will re-write my childhood memories to the sweetest bed time stories. We will have the best Mary go-round somewhere out there. We will hold our pinky swear as tight as we could. And when the twilight comes, I will still be your someone’s stronghold.

I love you to the moon and back, son.

Love,

Andy
