IELTS WRITING TASK 1

The pie chart shows York’s  expenditure in percent on favourite take away meals in the year 2010 further categorized into Fish and Chips, Pizza, Chinese Food, Indian Food and Kebab.

Overall, it is apparent that Indian food was the most popular take away among the five food categories while Kebab came the least.  Chinese Food and Pizza on the other hand were at par from each other in terms of people’s preference on take away meals.

It can be noted that Indian Food is favored by most as their take away being ranked the highest among all the food categories at 43% rate.  Next to the Indian food was Pizza at 23%, then Chinese Food at 18% as the third preferred food take away not to mention the next at 11% was Fish and Chips being the 4th preferred take away food.  The 5% rate belonged to Kebab, the least favourite take away of all food categories.
